Sand and Sea

I love the beach! I visited my grandparents while they were staying in Laguna Beach this weekend, and my goodness, I had no idea it was so nice at the ocean! Beautiful and so fun - a little chilly, now - but I think I will be spending lots of time at the shore next summer...

Vroom vroom!

I got a chance to try out my dad's bike before it was donated in the service of public radio. The wind in my hair, the open road, Italian styling -- how can a girl resist!

Zzzzzz...

I've developed a great technique for peaceful napping - try sticking your butt in the air while sucking a binky. Works like a charm.

Peanut butter maketh my toungue itcsthy

So yesterday, mom had the brilliant idea to feed me peanut butter on bread. Kids love peanut butter, she said. It's such a great easy meal, she said. And the doctor OK'd it since you're 1 year old, she said. I started feeling super itchy and puffy after I ate just a quarter of a sandwich, and then I started to get hives everywhere. We spent the whole afternoon at the hospital where some very nice nurses kept taking my vital signs after I got an epi shot, a bunch of steroids and Benadryl. I got to point at lots of people and smile and wave, so that almost made up for the shot. I'm AOK, but I've got to stay away from peanuts for a while. It's cool because I get to carry around an epi pen just like they used in Pulp Fiction! Here's a picture of me in the waiting room at the hospital...

Greetings, groundhogs. I come in peace.

We went to the zoo over the weekend, and I actually stayed awake the whole time. We saw a bunch of animals being fed, which was very cool, and I very much enjoyed this groundhog exhibit.

Finley Bear

I thought I'd model one of my Christmas gifts for you all - it comes from some sort of magical place called the Bass Pro Shop. I like it 'cause it's fuzzy.

Holiday elevation change

Hi, everyone! Recovering from an excellent Christmas with Grandma, Grandpa and the rest of the Tulsa clan. Sorry I haven't posted for a while, but things just got so busy - there really is a lot for a baby to do as she approaches her first birthday. Crawling, screaming, explaining my view on the world to everyone (although they don't seem to understand what I'm saying), etc. - and I learned a new skill in OK - climbing up the stairs (apologies for the sideways-ness). Take a look see!
