My first tat

At the Festival of Books today, I got my very first ink. Dad is worried that I'll regret it, but I think it will wear well.

Hoppy Easter!

I had an excellent Easter - the big bunny left me a great basket full of cool eggs and a cute purple rabbit. The eggs are the best. I look a little shell shocked here, but I'm just overwhelmed by all the plastic goodness. Hope your baskets were equally satisfying!

I heart my new Audi

Grandma was super nice and gave her very spiffy car to mom so that I can be transported in a manner befitting my elegance. I very much enjoy it - thank you, Grandma!!!!

Sand and Sea

I love the beach! I visited my grandparents while they were staying in Laguna Beach this weekend, and my goodness, I had no idea it was so nice at the ocean! Beautiful and so fun - a little chilly, now - but I think I will be spending lots of time at the shore next summer...

Vroom vroom!

I got a chance to try out my dad's bike before it was donated in the service of public radio. The wind in my hair, the open road, Italian styling -- how can a girl resist!

Zzzzzz...

I've developed a great technique for peaceful napping - try sticking your butt in the air while sucking a binky. Works like a charm.

Peanut butter maketh my toungue itcsthy

So yesterday, mom had the brilliant idea to feed me peanut butter on bread. Kids love peanut butter, she said. It's such a great easy meal, she said. And the doctor OK'd it since you're 1 year old, she said. I started feeling super itchy and puffy after I ate just a quarter of a sandwich, and then I started to get hives everywhere. We spent the whole afternoon at the hospital where some very nice nurses kept taking my vital signs after I got an epi shot, a bunch of steroids and Benadryl. I got to point at lots of people and smile and wave, so that almost made up for the shot. I'm AOK, but I've got to stay away from peanuts for a while. It's cool because I get to carry around an epi pen just like they used in Pulp Fiction! Here's a picture of me in the waiting room at the hospital...
